Travis Carter, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Criminology at the 91tvӰԺ. He earned his B.S. in Criminology, Law, and Justice from the University of Iowa in 2019, and his Ph.D. in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University in 2024. His current research centers on policing, with a focus on crime prevention and procedural fairness in police behavior, and developing evidence-based solutions through research partnerships with police agencies. His research also focuses on the intersection between research design and criminal justice policy, with specific applications in crime prevention and inequalities in policing.
