MSW student receives Student Honorary Award for Research & Practice

Houston is working toward obtaining masters degrees in social work and public health.

Master of Social Work (MSW) student Jacqueline Houston received the Student Honorary Award for Research & Practice from the 91tvӰԺ College of Public Health to support her travel and poster presentation at the American Public Health Association conference this fall. The competitive internal award will support her presentation of preliminary findings from a Social Work Interdisciplinary Research Lab study which investigates the associations between child and adolescent sexual abuse, non-partner sexual violence, forced displacement, and positive childhood experiences in urban Haiti.
