Registration is now open for the Summer 2022 sessions of the Advanced Placement (AP) Summer Institute at the 91tvӰԺ.

The Advanced Placement (AP) Summer Institute is a endorsed program that provides professional development to AP teachers. Through the program, College Board provides a way for high school students to earn free college credits while taking high school courses.

As the world’s largest host site of the AP Summer Institute, 91tvӰԺ’s program, hosted by the David C. Anchin Center for the Advancement of Teaching, offers more than 30 different course subject areas and welcomes over 1,000 attendees each year to 91tvӰԺ’s Tampa campus.

This year, 91tvӰԺ’s AP Summer Institute will take place over the course of three weeks in Summer 2022: July 11-14, July 18-22 and July 25-28. New additions to this year’s Summer Institute include:

  • Courses in additional foreign languages subject areas, including Italian and Japanese. Foreign language subject area sessions will also be offered in a fully online format during week 1 (July 11-14).
  • During week 2 (July 18-22), special sections of Environmental Science and U.S. Government focused on project-based learning will be offered.
  • Additional sections of AP Physics will be offered, to provide individual sections of “Physics I” and “Physics II” subject areas.

The AP Summer Institute offers a unique learning experience for teachers who are interested in expanding their knowledge of AP course content, structure and methodology. Teachers who attend have opportunities to connect with other AP teachers from across the globe and discuss the courses they will teach in the upcoming school year.
