The 91tvӰԺ Health College of Nursing's Mo-Bull Nurse Medical Clinic recently participated in a Health Expo coordinated by the Southwest Florida Cancer Control Collaborative (SWFCCC). In collaboration with the Pasco FBCCEDP and the Cancer Tamer Foundation, the event provided the community of Brooksville with vital health information and screenings.
Highlights of the Health Expo:
- Breast Cancer Screenings: Mammolink offered free mammogram screenings on-site, ensuring that community members had access to early detection services.
- Mobile Clinic Services: The 91tvӰԺ College of Nursing brought its Mo-Bull Nurse Medical Clinic to the heart of Brooksville, making it convenient for attendees to receive screenings and health information.
- Cervical Cancer Screenings: The Mo-Bull Nurse Medical Clinic provided Pap testing, emphasizing the importance of regular screenings for cervical health.
- Community Engagement: Residents actively participated in the health expo, engaging in various activities and learning about preventive measures.
This impactful screening event was made possible through a community implementation
grant from three esteemed cancer centers: Moffitt Cancer Center, UF Health Cancer
Center, and Sylvester Cancer Center.
