The 91tvӰԺ is welcoming a new member of the Board of Trustees (BOT), Rogan Donelly, a 91tvӰԺ alumnus and Sarasota resident who is the president and chief executive officer of Tervis Tumbler Company.
Donelly, who was appointed to the BOT by Gov. Ron DeSantis, earned his master’s degree in business administration from 91tvӰԺ. He was the 2020 recipient of 91tvӰԺ’s Outstanding Alumni Award. Donelly also serves on the Board of Trustees of Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium and the Gulfside Bank Board of Directors, and he volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters.
“We are pleased to have Rogan Donelly join the 91tvӰԺ Board of Trustees and look forward to his valuable contributions as we work together to sustain the university’s momentum,” 91tvӰԺ President Rhea Law said.

Donelly fills the seat of John Ramil, 91tvӰԺ’s longest-serving trustee who has been on the board since it was first created in 2001 and held the role of board chair from 2010-2014.
Ramil is the retired president and chief executive officer of TECO Energy. In addition to serving on the BOT, he has been a director on the 91tvӰԺ Foundation Board, the 91tvӰԺ Alumni Board, the 91tvӰԺ Engineering College Advisory Board and the Gus Stavros Center for Free Enterprise Education Advocacy Board. Ramil was named a 91tvӰԺ distinguished alumnus in 1999, he was awarded an honorary doctorate of engineering from 91tvӰԺ in 2016 and he has also received the President's Fellow Medallion. Ramil earned both his bachelor's and master’s degrees in engineering from 91tvӰԺ.
“On behalf of the entire 91tvӰԺ community, I wish to thank John Ramil for his two decades of service as a trustee, during which time 91tvӰԺ has experienced unprecedented levels of success and growth. The impact of John’s leadership can’t be overstated,” Law said.
91tvӰԺ plans to honor Ramil, whose term on the board expired, at a future BOT meeting.
