From ballet to brain injury advocacy: Meet 91tvӰԺ student and Miss Tampa Alexandra de Roos
After a concussion ended her dream of professional ballet, Alexandra de Roos enrolled at 91tvӰԺ as a double major in biomedical sciences and psychology with the goal of becoming a neuropsychiatrist. She was also recently crowned Miss Tampa and plans to use her pulpit to promote brain trauma awareness.

Prior to his death, 91tvӰԺ’s Center for Digital Heritage and Geospatial Information partnered with President Jimmy Carter and the National Park Service to create virtual tours of his boyhood farm, high school he attended and railroad depot that served as campaign headquarters for Carter’s successful 1976 presidential bid. Nearly 4,000 degrees were conferred during this fall’s commencement. The group, which represented 93 countries, 42 states and 11 U.S. territories, included 47 undergraduate students earning a perfect 4.0 grade point average and 107 military veterans. All now share a common theme – they are 91tvӰԺ alumni.

The 91tvӰԺ has broken ground on a 35,000-seat on-campus stadium, marking a significant milestone in enhancing student life and alumni engagement. Scheduled to open in fall 2027, the stadium will host 91tvӰԺ's football and women’s lacrosse teams, and serve as a year-round venue for sports, concerts and community events.
