The Clinton Global Initiative Fellowship
In 2006, the Orfalea Family Foundation and the William J. Clinton Foundation, in partnership with the University of Southern California (USC), committed to funding the Clinton-Orfalea Fellowship Program. The one-year post-graduate fellowships enables recent graduates of USC's Gould School of Law, Marshall School of Business and The School of Policy, Planning and Development to work with the Clinton Foundation, pursuing the organization's global and domestic initiatives.
The Presidential Management Fellows (PMF) Program
The PMF Class of 2025 Application dates will be posted when announced. Typically, the application dates are announced sometime in June.
The application will be accessible via an announcement on USAJOBS (www.USAJOBS.gov) once the application opens.
Changes effective with the 2025 Application will be listed under the “What’s New for 2025?” section below.
A PMF Applicant Handbook is posted on the Resources webpage. This handbook details the annual application process, explains eligibility requirements, required documentation, and provides an overview of the assessment process. This document may be revised with additional details ahead of the PMF Class of 2025 Application launching. Please monitor the handbook for any updates.

Boren Fellowships
Boren Awards are funded by the National Security Education Program (NSEP), which focuses on geographic areas, languages, and fields of study deemed critical to U.S. national security. Applicants identify how their study abroad programs or overseas projects, as well as their future academic and career goals, will contribute to U.S. national security, broadly defined.
Boren Awards funding in the 2025 application cycle may be applied to programs starting as early as June 1, 2025 or as late as March 1, 2026.
Mickey Leland Energy Fellowship (MLEF) Program
10-week summer research internship for undergraduate and graduate students in STEM majors. Participants complete a cutting-edge research project at one of the Department’s National Laboratories or DOE Headquarters in support of the Department’s mission of limiting the environmental and climate impacts of fossil fuels and industrial processes while working to achieve net-zero emissions.

EDF Climate Corps
EDF Climate Corps is the premiere fellowship program for corporate energy management. The application process is rigorous and highly competitive. EDF only selects exceptional students who are passionate about the environment and equipped with the technical and interpersonal skills to be a sustainability leader.
Climate Corps® is an innovative fellowship program that trains talented and passionate graduate students and pairs them with companies and public institutions dedicated to meeting their climate and energy goals. We exist to build and mobilize a diverse Climate Workforce that will have an exponential impact on the climate crisis.
Fellows spend a summer designing tools and recommendations to accomplish emissions reduction goals by road mapping climate commitments, reducing energy consumption, procuring renewable energy, electrifying fleets, and engaging suppliers.
Our 2025 application will open in the fall.
