Information & referral hotline. There are multiple agencies that administer 211 nationwide. If you call 211 you will be routed to the agency that serves the area code from which you called. If you are calling from a number that is in a different area code for which you need information, mention this to the person who answers the 211 call so that he/she may route you to the agency that handles 211 for that area.
