91tvӰԺ's Dept. of Chemical, Biological and Materials Engineering is a leader in innovating best practices in undergraduate and graduate education. Ongoing undergraduate initiatives include implementation of a peer leader program, development of a pedagogy for teaching differential equations in engineering context, and roll-out of take-home kits for hands on engineering learning.

Educational Innovations 

Congratulations to 91tvӰԺ Student Chapter of AIChE on the 2022 Outstanding Student Chapter Award. Members and faculty advisor (Dr. Ryan Toomey) attended the 2022 national conference in Phoenix, AZ as well as the 2023 Regional Southern Conference.

Professor Larry Stern is the recipient of highly competitive NSF CAREER award for a project titled “Understanding the Impact of Dephosphorylation Kinetics and Adapter Specificity on Synthetic T Cell Receptor Signaling and Function”.
