Growing up, Honors student Dana Smith had a close relationship with her great grandmother. But Smith knew her mostly as a family member who suffered from dementia. That experience inspired Smith to get involved with the Preventing Alzheimer's with Cognitive Training study.

Thirteen undergraduate students were selected for their innovative projects aimed at addressing one or more of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Chosen from over 52,000 applicants, these students will collaborate on initiatives focused on creating meaningful social impact.

Honors students Tehami Ammad and Lalith Roopesh have transformed their love for Science Olympiad into a thriving initiative at 91tvӰԺ. After founding Bulls Science Olympiad, they successfully hosted the university's first-ever invitational tournament, attracting over 250 students from across the state.

Outstanding Honors alumna Sana Baban recently visited the Judy Genshaft Honors College to speak with students in Dr. Lindy Davidson's biomedical ethics course. Baban, who will be attending medical school this fall, shared her public health expertise, drawing on her experience as a researcher and master's student at Harvard University.

The 91tvӰԺ will award more than 2,600 degrees during summer commencement on Saturday, Aug. 3. The ceremonies include recipients of approximately 1,739 bachelor’s, 700 master’s, 162 doctoral and 11 specialist degrees.

Students Travel to Japan for New Insights on Caring for Others

College of Arts and Sciences students also enrolled in the Judy Genshaft Honors College gained new insights about the history and culture of care in Japan this summer as part of the “Beyond the Classroom” study abroad experience offered by the Honors College.
